Pepper Spray and Train Horns? Here’s The Story
Posted on October 12th, 2008 at 7:13 amThe weather is still nice in California, even deep into fall. I had two acquisitions that I had been putting off so I thought I’d better jump to it.
First was to purchase a personal self-defense item for my girlfriend. She jogs in the evening and the nights are growing longer. She’s nervous at any approaching stranger. I had been looking at stun guns but she insisted on pepper spray. So I found some pepper spray dealers on-line and bought a product called Hot Walkers. They look like jogging weights but you can spray the pepper from the top. Neat huh? Now my girlfriend jogs with a sense of security.
Next was a toy for me. I had been thinking about getting a train horn kit for my Explorer for awhile. The kit features an air horn that replaces or compliments the stock truck horn and sounds just like a passing train horn. Back to the internet I went until I found a company called TrainHorn.org. Great selection of air horns and low prices! I chose a Dominion Stage 3 Blaster Train Horn kit. Dual compressors, big air tank, chrome quad horn. I just installed it last weekend (easy instructions) and it sounds awesome! So loud it could wake the dead!
